Academia AGA nominated to the World Architecture Festival 2024

Academia AGA, Atlas FC’s High Performance Facilities designed by the prestigious architectural studio SORDO MADALENO, has been nominated as a finalist in the “Completed Buildings: Sport” category of the World Architecture Festival (EAF) 2024.
For 17 years, Orlegi Sports has positioned itself at the forefront of sports infrastructure, highlighted for its commitment to innovation and excellence. In addition to being a fundamental pillar of our management model, it reaffirms our leadership in the sector.
The WAF is an important architecture festival, which also has the most outstanding awards in this discipline. These distinctions highlight excellence in this field. For more than a decade, this event has brought together thousands of architects, designers, and suppliers every year, who will meet next November at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.

The new home of the ‘Rojinegros’ is the second major project of our organization to obtain an important nomination, following the success obtained with the Territorio Santos Modelo in Torreón, Coahuila, which was recognized with distinctions such as “Best Sports Project” and “The Favorite of the Year by the Public” in Mexico by CNN Expansión in 2009, “Work of the Year” by the magazine Obras de Editorial Expansión in 2010, and “Emblematic Work of the Year” by the Ibero-American Council of Interiors in 2012.

The new unique headquarters of Atlas FC is one of the most innovative High Performance Centers in all of Latin America. It houses all areas of the club, which facilitates the work to continue working on the growth of the institution, as well as on the training of high quality players forged in ‘La Academia’ and continue being a leading team on and off the field.
Built in just 18 months, with an investment of 450 million mexican pesos, Academia AGA has 6 natural fields and 2 synthetic grass fields, institutional dining room, men’s gym, therapeutic tank, neuroscience area, auditorium, official team store, sports and administrative offices, physical headquarters of the Orlegi School, women’s pavilion with gym, clubhouses and rehabilitation area, chapel, training center and water treatment plant.
